
Bhubaneswar: A third-year B.Tech student of KIIT University was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Mancheswar area of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, raising serious concerns over student safety.
Second Suspicious Death in Two Months
This marks the second mysterious death of a KIIT student within two months, intensifying concerns among students, parents, and university authorities. The deceased student has been identified as Arnab Mukherjee, a native of Bankura, West Bengal. He was pursuing a B.Tech (third year) at KIIT University and resided in one of the university hostels.
Body Discovered Near an Under-Construction Building
Arnab’s body was discovered near an under-construction building in the Mancheswar police station area, far from his hostel. The circumstances under which he ended up in that area remain unclear, and authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of his death.
Police Investigation Underway
The local police have launched an investigation into the case. Preliminary reports suggest no immediate signs of foul play, but officials are waiting for post-mortem reports to confirm the cause of death.
