
Jharsuguda, April 1: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Jharsuguda celebrated Utkal Divas with great enthusiasm, paying homage to prominent leaders by garlanding their statues across the town.
As part of the celebrations, floral tributes were offered to the statue of Biju Patnaik in Badmal, Mahatma Gandhi at Old Bus Stand, Gangadhar Meher at the Collector’s Office, Naba Das at Bus Stand Chowk, and Veer Surendra Sai at the Jharsuguda Airport. The event witnessed active participation from local BJD leaders and party workers.
Among the key attendees were BJD President Rabi Singh, Sandeep Aswasthi, Tapas Roy Choudhury, Pintu Padhi, Harish Ganatra, Municipality Chairperson Rani Hati, Reeta rani Sah, Pratima Bhaisal, Madan Hati, Subash Kedia, Tulsi Das, Bharat Rout, Prabodh Panda and Lingraj Mohapatra. The leaders highlighted the significance of Utkal Divas, remembering the contributions of Odisha’s great leaders in the formation of the state on April 1, 1936.
