Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in suburban Mumbai for a regular check-up, as per sources.

The sources informed, on Tuesday, the actor was admitted to the hospital and is still there.

A hospital source told this agency, “Mr Bachchan had come for a routine check-up Tuesday and he is still there.”

Initial reports said, Amitabh Bachchan was hospitalized due to liver issues but there is no clarity on that.

However, various tests have been conducted over the last 3 days to find out if he is suffering from any ailment. The actor, however, has not complained of any uneasiness. For those who are unaware about it, Amitabh Bachchan’s liver lost 75% of its functioning after he contracted Hepatitis B virus while undergoing treatment for his accident in 1982.

Amitabh Bachchan greeted Thursday his fans on the occasion of ‘Karwa Chauth’ festival.

Moreover, Big B posted a throwback picture of himself with wife Jaya, cropping himself out of the frame, on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. Wittily, he described Jaya Bachchan as ‘The better half’, to justify cutting himself out of the frame. He celebrated his 77th birthday October 11 with his family and close friends.

Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan is presently being seen on television hosting season 11 of the quiz show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Recently Gautam Kumar Jha from Adra in West Bengal became the 3rd crorepati of this season’s show.

Furthermore, as far as films are concerned, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulaabo Sitab, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. He also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahamastr coming up, where he shares screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
