Romantic getaways often mean candlelit dinners, long walks on the beach, and pampering accommodations. But some destinations boast their own romantic je ne sais quoi—in places like Bali, etc, there’s just something in the air.

Whether you’re traveling for your honeymoon or just looking for a romantic getaway, island destinations offer fun and romantic ways to spend time together. For your honeymoon, anniversary, couple’s trip or any romantic getaway, these are the island resorts that offer the ultimate in romance, from special dinners t7o beautiful views to romantic suites.

Bali

Bali is an Island of God in Paradise. While the island’s picturesque scenery attracts visitors from around the world, its unique culture and tradition keeps them coming back for more. Furthermore, it is a perfect tourist destination to enjoy the holiday with your family and friends. We can find some best surfing spots in the island on the western side. Meanwhile, the eastern side is a wonderful haven for families, with beautiful white sand beaches and gentle seas.

An iconic attraction, Tanah Lot, is a 15th-century temple that juts out of the ocean on a small rock formation. Don’t miss the five waterfalls between Bedugul and Singaraja: Gitgit is the farthest down the mountain, and visitors can climb 150 steps to take in stunning cascading falls.

Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands and the location of the territory’s capital, George Town.

The Cayman Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea approximately ninety miles south of Cuba. To most of the world, Grand Cayman is the Cayman Islands, a glitzy shopping mecca and global financial center where resorts line the fabulous white-sand Seven Mile Beach and the wealthy from around the world spend time sipping cocktails and discreetly playing with their millions.

It does have another side – literally. If you head east, you can escape the cruise-ship crowds, experience local culture, discover underwater marvels and explore the undeveloped interior.

Moorea

Moorea is a high island in French Polynesia, one of the Windward Islands, part of the Society Islands, 17 kilometres northwest of Tahiti.

Moorea rises magically out of the ocean like a cathedral. High, sharp, inspiring green spires, crowned by clouds. Poetic threads of waterfalls tumble down fern-softened cliffs. Peaceful meadows flanked by pinnacles of emerald green will renew your belief in the majesty of nature, and Moorea’s bright blue lagoon will bring to life the South Seas idyll of your dreams. La vie heureuse, as they say in Tahiti, a happy life. One of the most memorable locations in The Islands of Tahiti, Moorea’s beauty is unforgettable.

Tortola

Tortola is the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands, a group of islands that form part of the archipelago of the Virgin Islands. Whether looking for a relaxing retreat complete with luxurious spa treatments or a vacation filled with exciting sea adventures, the British Virgin Islands has it all.

The British Virgin Islands offers a variety of luxurious accommodations and a wide range of experiences from natural spa treatments to sailing aboard private yachts and tasting famous Anegada spiny lobster. No matter what stage of a relationship, the British Virgin Islands embodies romance and luxury.

Turks & Caicos

The Turks and Caicos is a tropical Atlantic archipelago that’s located 575 miles (925 kms) southeast of Miami, Florida. There are about 100 named islands and cays in the Turks and Caicos.

The Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), hiding at the southern tip of the Bahamian Archipelago, elude most travelers’ radars. Yet this sparsely populated string of low sand cays boasts some of the world’s most spectacular coral reefs, and has built itself into a true luxury-tourism destination.

St. John

Saint John’s Island, previously known as Pulau Sakijang Bendera, is one of the Southern Islands in Singapore. A few kilometres south of Singapore lies a secret beach with clear waters and white sands on St John’s Island, one of the country’s many beautiful offshore islands. Today, it’s a popular day trip destination with tons to do, both on land and beyond its shores.

Mauritius

Mauritius is a volcanic island of lagoons and palm-fringed beaches with coral reefs surrounding most of the coastline. Mauritius has earned the reputation of a top holiday destination, but only few of the island visitors know that Mauritius is one of the leading destinations in the world while referring to the large variety of the activities it offers in comparison to its size.

From more traditional museums, parks and reserves, to extreme activities, sea cruises, island trips and many more, you will find it all! So make sure to discover the real Mauritius to the fullest via the various fun and exciting activities it offers!

Thailand

Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia with coasts on the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. It borders Myanmar to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Cambodia to the southeast and Malaysia to the south.

White sand, rustic-chic beach shacks, a hammock gently swaying between two palm trees as a turquoise sea laps at the shore. But each is quite distinct from the next, with its own characteristics; and there are dozens to choose from. It’s an amazing destination, whether you want to party till dawn, learn to dive, eat the best Thai food or escape from the world on a secluded, romantic break.

Barbados

Barbados is a coral island, pushed out of sea by volcanic activity in a far away time. On the West Coast of Barbados, coral shore beaches of fine white sand stretch along a blue-green sea. Coral reefs fringe the Barbados shoreline to provide excellent snorkeling and Scuba Diving. The constant breeze of the trade winds give Barbados a mild and pleasant tropical climate.

When you visit Barbados, you will see it is mostly a flat coral island with excellent beaches, but there are rolling hills and many deep ridges and gullies, with an interesting distribution of flora and fauna.

Bonaire

Bonaire is an island in the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is Kralendijk, located near the ocean on the lee side of the island.

From the depths of our pristine waters to the height of our tallest peak, Brandaris, you will feel Bonaire’s magic wash over you from the moment you arrive. You will find that, here on Bonaire, there is a peaceful ambiance for daily life, without the hassle of traffic lights, hustle and bustle, or normal, day-to-day worries. Your only concern will be how to spend each new day you have on Bonaire. Nowhere else is vacationing as easy as on Bonaire, as our warm, friendly people welcome visitors from around the world.

Next to other activities as, kite surfing, windsurfing and snorkeling, Bonaire continues to be recognized as one of the top destinations worldwide for its sustainable tourism.

Bora Bora

Live the tropical island life to its fullest in Bora Bora, Tahiti by staying in an overwater bungalow. Breakfast is delivered by canoe, but be sure to eat like the locals at roulettes. Explore the ocean in a submarine scooter or swim with the sharks and rays.

Maui

Maui is a destination for true nature lovers. For bohemian couples, Maui offers wine tasting, yoga workshops, and a seed-to-cup coffee tour. Take a road trip to Hana village and, along the way, visit the Seven Sacred Pools and camp under the stars. From waterfall swims to zipline challenges, there’re countless ways to spend time together. You can even take a day trip to the quiet island of Molokai.

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa are our two favorite spots to stay on Maui for romance. Both of these resorts have amazing snorkeling right out front, delicious restaurants, and perfectly-landscaped properties. An afternoon snorkel with turtles, followed by happy hour by the pool (AKA lazy river) is an ideal day for us on this Hawaiian island.

Lanai

The smallest inhabited island in Hawaii, Lanai offers big enticements to its visitors. Only nine miles from Maui yet a world away, Lanai can feel like two places. The first is found in luxurious resorts where visitors can indulge in world-class amenities and championship-level golf and the second is found bouncing along the island’s rugged back roads in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to explore off-the-beaten-path treasures. You’re sure to find serenity, adventure and privacy on Lanai.

Cook Islands

With a strong cafe culture, a burgeoning organic and artisan food scene, and a handful of bar and clubs, Rarotonga lives confidently in the 21st century. But beyond the island’s tourist buzz and contemporary appearance is a robust culture.

North of ‘Raro’, the sublime lagoon of Aitutaki is ringed with tiny deserted islands and is one of the Pacific’s most improbably scenic jewels. Don’t forget to explore the ancient makatea and taro fields of Mangaia, or swim in the underground cave pools of Mitiaro and Ma’uke. The remote Northern Group is a South Seas idyll experienced by a lucky few.

Aruba

Aruba is one of the Lesser Antilles islands located in the Southern Caribbean Sea. The island is located miles off the coast of Venezuela and on clear days it is possible to see Venezuela from the south-eastern side of the island. Located 15 miles north of Venezuela in the warm waters of the southern Caribbean, Aruba is home to beautiful white-sand beaches, 82-degree days, and some of the warmest people in the world.

In the interior of the island, you’ll find Arikok National Park, a desert like preserve with a variety of wildlife, cacti and dramatic rock formations. You’ll also find some of Aruba’s most striking views, as the ocean crashes against the rugged shoreline below.
