President Ram Nath Kovind said the judiciary will play a key role in the days to come.

He was addressing International Judicial Conference yesterday (Sunday). The conference was organized by the Supreme Court.

Kovind said that issues like gender justice, protection of constitutional values, environment protection and protection of the right to privacy in the Internet age influence every member of the global community. The President praised the Supreme Court for carrying out “radical reforms” that made justice more accessible to common people.

President Kovind spoke on landmark judgments passed by the apex court in the recent days.

He further added, this has further strengthened the legal and constitutional framework of India. The President particularly praised the Supreme Court in making the higher courts’ judgments available in regional languages.
