Odisha Govt Grants Commuted Leave Without Medical Certificate to Employees Above 50 Years

The Odisha Government has decided to grant commuted leave without production of medical certificate to officials above 50 years have health issues up to April 4. A notification in this regard has been issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance department for all departments of government, heads of department, RDCs and Collectors.

 

As a preventive measure to contain the spread of COVID-19, the state government had on 19th March ordered that employees who fell unwell due to symptoms of Novel Corona Virus should leave the workplace and avail home quarantine for a period of 14 days.

 

Nevertheless, the state government yesterday (Tuesday) decided to grant commuted leave without medical certificate to officials who are above 50 years of age and have conditions like diabetes, respiratory problems, renal diseases, heart diseases, and other life-threatening illnesses.

 

According to the notification, the instruction will be applicable for all State Government organizations including autonomous bodies/statutory bodies, PSUs and Corporations.
