With only a few days left for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Surendra Kumar held an all-party meeting at Bhubaneswar yesterday to sensitise various political parties about the new guidelines to be followed during the elections and urged leaders to extend full support in conducting the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly Polls in the state in a free and fair manner.

“During the meeting, discussion was held on management and security of electronic voting machines (EVMs), electoral roll and some new guidelines introduced by the ECI”, the CEO informed.

Kumar said that the contestants must reveal their IT-returns of five years, Permanent Account Number (PAN) and publish details about their criminal records through print and electronic media for a minimum of three times during campaigning for the elections.

Both Lok Sabha and Assembly Polls will be held simultaneously in Odisha in four phases, starting from April 11.
