We have all read the story of the great women warrior named Rani Laxmibai in our history textbooks. But we haven’t watched her life brought alive on the big screen. The queen of Jhansi—Rani Laxmibai also addressed as Manikarnika is one of the most impactful historical female warriors from our freedom struggle. People were anxiously waiting for the movie and today the movie is being released worldwide.

In this movie Kangana plays the lead role of Manikarnika. The interesting part of this movie is that it’s just not a biopic which focuses on the war and the fight against the British oppression but also gives a glimpse of her childhood and her transition from being a feisty girl to the Queen.

Kangana has not only acted but also directed Manikarnika. One thing that everybody knows about kangana is the fact that she is super passionate about anything she takes up and does her work with full seriousness and with Manikarnika she goes all out. The movie also features actors like Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub who are actors par excellence. Ankita Lokhande who is playing the role of Jhalkari Bai, a commander in Rani Laxmibai's army, makes her Bollywood debut with this "acting oriented" character in the movie.

We just wish the movie does great business and becomes the biggest blockbuster of the year.
